Amethyst Equine Connections' Mission
Our mission at Amethyst Equine Connections is to support you through animal partnerships along your wellness journey.
Mindfulness is; a type of meditation where you focus on being aware of what your sensing and feeling in the moment. Mindfulness can include techniques such as; guided imagery, breathing methods and other ways to help relax the body, mind and reduce stress.
What is EAL?
Our EAL (Equine Assisted Learning) program is an educational and experiential skills program that is facilitated within a group or individual format and focuses on-ground activities that are objectively driven rather than horseback riding. Allowing the horse to be the teacher.
Our EFW (Equine Facilitated Wellness) program is a unique way in which equines can assist you in your personal growth, professional development, or simply to find ways to deepen your connection with equines in life's journey.

We acknowledge that what we call Alberta and the location in which we built AEC is the traditional and ancestral territory of many peoples, presently subject to Treaties 6, 7, and 8. Namely: the Blackfoot Confederacy – Kainai, Piikani, and Siksika – the Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux, Stoney Nakoda, and the Tsuu T’ina Nation and the Métis People of Alberta. This includes the Métis Settlements and the Six Regions of the Métis Nation of Alberta within the historical Northwest Metis Homeland. We acknowledge the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on or are visiting.
